  • BNYS is a study of naturopathy and yoga wherein naturopathy is based on the belief that all illness occurs because of foreign material in the body. It believes that the body is self-healing and that nature can heal all.
  • Naturopathy is a form of medicine based on a belief in vitalism, which posits that a special energy called vital energy or vital force guides bodily processes such as reproduction, metabolism, growth and adaptation. State CET CELL Process

The Commissioner, State CET CELL, Mumbai will conduct the admission process for all Health Science courses, including BNYS, in the State of Maharashtra. CAP seats are filled through the centralized process carried out by the Competent Authority / Commissioner, State CET CELL.

Merit & Counselling

Admission to the BNYS course follows a structured process based on the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) merit list, result evaluation, and centralised or institute-level counselling.

NEET Recognition

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exams are widely accepted by MUHS.

General Instructions for Applicants
  1. Applicants are required to appear in person for the interview at The Yoga Institute on Friday, 11 September 2026, at 10:00 AM, at their own expense.
  2. Applicants should bring their bio-data along with original certificates, experience certificates, a self-attested set of photocopies, and two recent passport-size photographs at the time of interview.
  3. The applicant must be a citizen of India and a resident of the State of Maharashtra.
  4. It is essential for the applicant to be able to speak, write, and read Marathi.
  5. Applicants with an MD Ayurveda degree should be registered under the M.M.P. Act, 1961 or I.M.M.C. Act, 1970 before joining the post, unless they have already registered.
  6. The candidate’s age limit will be determined on the date of interview, with relaxation for SC, ST, and OBC candidates as per Central Government rules.
  7. Appointment is for a period of 11 months only.
  8. The engagement for the above posts is purely contractual and does not create a right to continuation or regular appointment.
  9. Applicants should bring their bio-data along with original certificates, experience certificates, a set of photocopies, and two recent passport-size photographs at the time of interview.
  10. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  11. Applicants with previous experience will be given preference.
  12. The decision taken by MUHS authorities regarding essential qualifications and experience will be applicable from time to time.

Adequate knowledge of English, Marathi, Sanskrit, and Hindi is required; the candidate must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking these languages.
Other Terms and Conditions
  1. The contractual appointment shall continue until a regular candidate becomes available, for a period of 11 months, or until the candidate attains 65 years of age, whichever occurs first. It cannot be renewed after 11 months without a break in service, and no re-appointment shall be granted after the candidate reaches 65 years of age.
  2. The contractual appointment will automatically terminate on the appointment of a regular candidate to the post or after 11 months, whichever occurs earlier.
  3. The temporary contractual appointment will automatically cease on the date a regular candidate is appointed to the post.
  4. The appointee will be required to discharge the duties and responsibilities of the position in the same manner as a regular teacher.
  5. Working hours will be the same as those of regular teachers. Appointees must maintain confidentiality regarding all documents, information, and materials handled by them.
  6. Other than Sundays and public holidays, the candidate is entitled to only 08 days of casual leave. No other type of leave is permissible.
  7. If a contractual appointee wishes to resign, they must give three months' notice to the Dean/Principal. If this is not possible, the resignation may be accepted after depositing an amount equivalent to three months' honorarium into the government treasury.
  8. The performance of contractual appointees will be reviewed regularly by the Head of Department and the Dean/Principal. If performance is unsatisfactory, the Dean may terminate the appointment without prior notice.
  9. Contractual appointees may engage in private medical practice only if it does not adversely affect their assigned college and hospital duties and responsibilities.
  10. Contractual appointees shall have no right to claim regular appointment or seek regularisation of their service. Service rendered under the contract shall not be considered for retirement benefits.
  11. Failure to report for duty at the assigned location within seven days of receiving the appointment order will result in automatic forfeiture of the claim to the appointment.
  12. Private practice is prohibited during office hours. Any violation will lead to immediate termination of services. Appointees must submit an undertaking to comply with the government decision and not make a legal claim for permanent appointment.
  13. Compliance with directives or orders issued from time to time by the Government, competent authority, or office shall be mandatory for the appointee.
  14. All rights to change or cancel any part of the appointment process rest with the Vice President and Principal, International Board of Yoga.
  15. Candidates currently working in another organisation must present the no-activity certificate from the concerned organisation on the day of the walk-in interview and carry the relieving order when joining the post.
  16. A candidate will not be allowed to leave service before completing one academic session after the first appointment and must submit an affidavit to that effect immediately. Once the academic session starts, candidature will not be accepted in the interest of students.
